You’ll be hard pressed to find a better floor-standing loudspeaker at this price. These are higher efficiency speakers that are incredibly dynamic and excel at both 2 channel and home theater applications. The first generation of these speakers received rave reviews and this new version is even better (see reviews below).
The only weakness would be low end bass extension. When redesigning the crossover for the gen ii iteration, they fixed the hole in the frequency response that was seen in the gen i version. With the crossover redesign, the gen ii’s are a much more neutral speaker. In order to maintain efficiency and dynamics, they sacrificed some low end bass response which is a fine compromise since most people who buy these are probably going to use them in home theater and will pair them with a subwoofer.
